The success of this year’s event has cemented it as Australia’s premier showcase for the passion and innovation that drives the country’s modified car scene, making it a mecca for automotive enthusiasts,” said event co-owner, Andy Lopez.

Meguiar’s MotorEx, presented by LMCT+, now proudly stands as an unmissable highlight on Australia’s national car events calendar.

“With a record-breaking 1100 vehicles, it had everything from high-octane drag cars and meticulously restored classics to cutting-edge custom builds, wild off-roaders, pro burnout cars, and incredibly rare exotic,” Andy explained.

New for 2025, the ‘Worlds’ event footprint made it easier for spectators to find their favourite attractions and discover new offerings. The Mobil 1 Performance World and Street Machine Custom World showcased the latest automotive trends, products, and services to an eager and engaged customer base.

“This year’s trade show offering was impressive in both its presentation and the breadth of exhibitors on display,” said show co-owner, Andy Lopez.

Spanning a total of 18,000sqm of trade space, MotorEx featured 112 businesses showcasing a dynamic mix of products, services, and innovations across every segment of the automotive aftermarket.

“From performance tuning and restoration gear to advanced car care and lifestyle accessories, the trading pavilions were a hub of activity and commerce,” Andy remarked.

Historical data shows MotorEx attracts many automotive industry professionals, and with 3,300 registered attendees this year, we can now accurately quantify that claim,” he added.

Aeroflow Real Street and Rare Spares Club Worlds both sold out well before the event and the all new Car Builders 4x4 World exceeded all expectations, with over 150 modified 4x4s on show outside and the bustling 4x4 trade pavilion.

“MotorEx has always been a platform to celebrate Australia’s awesome car culture, and this year we’ve taken things to a whole new level,” said Andy Lopez, event co-owner. “The response from the crowd, the entrants, and our industry partners has been phenomenal.”

“What MotorEx does for the Australian car scene is massive,” Portelli said. “It’s an experience that brings everyone together, from hardcore builders to casual fans. The energy this year was next level, but make no mistake, next year’s event will make this year look like a carpark meet!”

Meguiar’s MotorEx, presented by LMCT+, returns to the Melbourne Showgrounds, May 2-3, 2026.
